I think that this little sampler worked on pale moss linen must be my favorite--perhaps because of the softly fading desert colors or because it reminds me of the gentle columbine which grow against our west garden fence. Its delicate ladder hemstitching surrounded by the graceful, drooping blossoms creates a piece to be treasured always.
